Fatal Shooting at Florida Walmart Leaves Customer Dead and Suspect in Custody

An off-duty Walmart employee in Florida was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery after shooting and killing a customer who tried to intervene during an altercation with another store employee. The employee, Tironie Sterling, got into a physical altercation with a female employee, and when a customer tried to help, Sterling shot the customer several times before fleeing the store. The customer later died in the hospital. Sterling was later taken into custody. Walmart released a statement expressing their condolences and the store will remain closed while working with law enforcement.
