Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting Ends High-Speed Chase in Seward County

A man was shot and killed by Seward County deputies after a pursuit on Interstate 80 in Nebraska. The vehicle initially evaded deputies by driving in the wrong direction before coming to a stop. While the passenger complied with orders to exit the vehicle, the driver refused and was seen holding a gun, prompting deputies to shoot him. Despite attempts to save his life, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation by a grand jury and the Nebraska State Patrol.
