Deadly Standoff in Mississippi Leaves Two Officers and Suspect Dead, One Officer Injured.

A veteran law enforcement officer with the Madison Police Department, Horren Randy Tyler, was killed while responding to a standoff in a Brandon neighborhood. A Brandon police officer was also wounded during the hostage situation that turned into a standoff. The suspect fired shots at officers, and after talking for more than an hour with the suspect, the department's SWAT team was able to get into the house and rescue the hostage. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting.
