Deadly Altercations: Police Officers Confronted in Virginia Shootings

A man who attacked a police officer and attempted to steal his firearm was shot and killed by responding officers in Fairfax County, Virginia. The man, identified as Brandon Lemagne, was driving a stolen U-Haul when he was approached by the officer. He assaulted the officer, forced him into his cruiser, and crashed the vehicle into a nearby McDonald's. Two other officers arrived on the scene and shot Lemagne after removing him from the cruiser. The officers involved have been placed on restricted duty status, and body-worn camera footage will be released within 30 days.
