Daylong manhunt ends with arrest after I-70 officer-involved shooting near Dotsero

Authorities say 27-year-old Kenny Espinoza, suspected in a Westminster homicide, fled after an officer-involved shooting on Interstate 70 near Dotsero, triggering a multi-agency manhunt that closed I-70 through Glenwood Canyon. Espinoza was arrested in the Dotsero area around 2 p.m. Tuesday; one person in the suspect’s vehicle was injured but treated on scene and released, and the shelter-in-place order was lifted as the highway reopened by about 2:30 p.m. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the shooting.
