The couple's former employee was accused of stealing $30 million from the Chinese government. The trio was accused of aggressively helping China in its plan to draw the couple back to their homeland. The retired police officer was convicted of acting as a foreign agent without notifying the US government, interstate stalking, and conspiracy to engage in interstate stalking. The other two men were convicted of stalking and acting as a foreign agent.
