"Convicted Killer Paul Flores Attacked Again in Prison"

Paul Flores, convicted of killing Kristin Smart, was attacked in prison for the second time, this time being stabbed in a recreation yard at Pleasant Valley State Prison. The assault is being investigated as an attempted homicide, and Flores was transported to an outside medical facility but has since returned to prison in fair condition. The attacker has not been identified, and Flores was previously attacked in 2023. He is serving a 25 years to life sentence for Smart's murder and is eligible for parole in 2037.
