Conflicting Accounts Surround Response to Texas Mall Shooting

The Allen Police Department has contradicted the eyewitness account of a man who claimed he administered aid to victims before police arrived at the scene of the Texas mall shooting on May 6. The department said detectives had "determined that Mr. Steven Spainhouer is not a credible incident witness" and that he was not first on the scene, nor was he on the property while gunfire was occurring. Spainhouer stands by his account and has criticized the police for taking 20 minutes to arrive at the H&M store where most of the shooting victims were located.
