Clerk charged with attempting to steal $3M lottery ticket left by customer.

A liquor store clerk in Lakeville, Massachusetts, is accused of trying to cash in a $3 million winning lottery ticket left behind by a customer. The clerk, Carly Nunes, claimed she purchased the ticket herself, but surveillance video confirmed it was purchased by the victim. Nunes is charged with larceny, attempted larceny, presentation of a false claim, and witness intimidation. Her co-worker, Joseph Reddem, is charged with attempted extortion. The Massachusetts Lottery intends to honor the victim's claim on the prize.
