Charges filed against 7 CHP officers and nurse in DUI suspect's death.

Seven California Highway Patrol officers and a registered nurse are being charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault in the death of a DUI driver, Edward Bronstein, who died while being restrained by the officers during a blood draw in Altadena nearly three years ago. The officers allegedly forced a handcuffed Bronstein to the ground and pinned him down as the nurse drew his blood. Bronstein repeatedly told officers he could not breathe and became unresponsive during the blood draw. The officers waited 10 minutes to begin CPR, and Bronstein was later pronounced dead. The incident was caught on video and released nearly two years after Bronstein’s death.
