Cartel Leader Arrested in California After Faking Death for Luxury Life

Cristian Fernando Gutierrez-Ochoa, a high-ranking member of the Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), allegedly faked his own death to evade Mexican authorities and lived in luxury in California. Arrested in Riverside, he faces charges of international drug trafficking and money laundering. Gutierrez-Ochoa, who coordinated the transport of massive quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine to the U.S., is accused of using violence to further his operations. He is linked to El Mencho, CJNG's leader, who remains a fugitive.
