Brother saves sister from kidnapper with slingshot, Michigan police report.

An 8-year-old girl was mushroom hunting in her backyard when a male she did not know appeared from the woods and attempted to abduct her. Her 13-year-old brother witnessed the assault and shot the suspect with his slingshot in the head and chest. The suspect was identified as a 17-year-old male from Alpena and was charged as an adult with attempted kidnapping/child enticement, attempted assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault and battery. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
