"Brave Women Mouth 'Help Me' to Aid in Criminal Arrests"

A woman in South Carolina mouthed "help me" to an officer during a traffic stop, leading to the arrest of a male passenger who had shot someone. The officer removed the man from the vehicle and put him in her patrol car, while the distressed woman told her about the shooting. The suspect was identified as Collins Xavier Manning Bates and was found with a pistol under his seat. He remains in custody on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and unlawful possession of a pistol.
