Brave Father's Tragic End: Confronting Backyard Scooter Thieves with Son Ends in Fatality

A father in Aurora, Colorado, was shot and killed after confronting two scooter thieves in his backyard. The father and his son woke up to the sound of the theft and went outside to confront the suspects. The thieves managed to escape with the stolen scooters, prompting the father and son to chase them in their pickup truck. Shots were fired at the pickup during the chase, and upon returning home, the father was fatally shot when a vehicle drove by and fired several rounds into their house. The suspects remain at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
