Arrests Made in Death of Missing 18-Year-Old in Union County

Two individuals have been charged in connection with the death of 18-year-old Kierstyn Williamson, who was reported missing from Laurens, South Carolina. After receiving information that she may have been at a house in Monroe, Union County, authorities discovered a body believed to be that of the teenager. Joshua Newton, 25, is charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice, while Victoria Smith, 22, is charged with obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact. The incident is being investigated as a homicide. Both suspects are currently in custody at the Union County Jail.
