Arrests Made in Connection to Murders of Gay Men in NYC Nightclubs

Jacob Barroso, a suspect in a string of overdose deaths at Manhattan nightspots, has surrendered to police. Barroso is one of a half-dozen reputed gang members indicted for murder, robbery, grand larceny, and conspiracy in the killings of John Umberger and Julio Ramirez. The victims died from drug-facilitated thefts after criminals slipped them drugs laced with fentanyl and other deadly drugs as they left Manhattan bars and restaurants. Barroso is charged with murder, robbery, grand larceny, and conspiracy and is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday.
