Arrest Made in Horrific Hit-and-Run Decapitation Case, BCSO Reports

A 27-year-old woman, Savannah Mercedes Lopez, has been arrested by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) in San Antonio after being connected to a hit-and-run crash that resulted in the internal decapitation of a 62-year-old man. The victim's body was found by a pedestrian the day after the incident, showing no external injuries. Further investigation revealed severe internal injuries, including a brain bleed, broken bones, and organs damage. BCSO investigators located a white Dodge pickup truck with matching damage and bodily fluids of the victim. Lopez, who has a history of DWI, admitted to driving the truck. No other arrests are expected, and the victim's identity has not been released.
