Armor-wearing California man kills hostage in Roseville park shooting.

The suspect in a Northern California shooting last week was wearing a body-armor vest when he took two hostages in a public park, killing one and wounding the other. The officers confronted the suspect, Eric Abril, who was wanted for questioning in connection with a freeway shooting, and he opened fire, prompting a gun battle that became deadly. Investigators are "confident" that Abril fatally shot James MacEgan and wounded his wife, Patricia MacEgan. Abril is charged with murder, aggravated kidnapping causing bodily harm, attempted murder of a peace officer, and of being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
