Arkansas Mother Abducts 8 Children, Smuggles Them Across Country

A biological mother, Trista Fullerton, was arrested for allegedly kidnapping her eight children from their Arkansas foster homes and smuggling them across the country. Fullerton and six of her children were found safe in California after a concerned citizen reported her "bizarre behavior." She had driven through multiple states in a trash-filled pickup truck to evade authorities. Fullerton, who has a criminal history, was arrested and booked in Shasta County jail. The two remaining children were found at a home in the Cottonwood area. The children have been released to Shasta County Children and Family Services for reunification with their guardians in Arkansas.
