"WSP Trooper Fatally Injured in I-5 Crash, Suspect in Custody"

Washington State Patrol trooper Christopher M. Gadd, 27, was tragically killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near Marysville while on patrol searching for DUI drivers. The crash occurred when an SUV struck his parked patrol car, also involving another car with six passengers. Gadd, who had been with WSP for two and a half years, is survived by his wife, daughter, and family members in law enforcement. A 32-year-old Lynnwood man has been taken into custody for vehicular homicide in connection with the crash.
