"Boeing Whistleblower Found Dead After Testifying Against Company"

Boeing whistleblower John Barnett, who raised concerns about production standards and safety issues with the 787 Dreamliner jets, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound days after testifying against the company. Barnett, a former quality control engineer at Boeing, alleged that the emergency oxygen systems for the 787 Dreamliners had a high failure rate, compromising passenger safety. The Federal Aviation Administration had previously ordered Boeing to address some of the issues raised by Barnett. South Carolina authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Barnett's death.
