Wisconsin's alcohol industry gets a major overhaul.

Wisconsin's proposed alcohol law overhaul has received support from industry heavyweights, but wedding barn owners have criticised the bill, claiming it would put them out of business. The legislation would streamline and clarify alcohol regulations, including who can invest in new alcohol businesses, winery operations and bar closing times during the Republican National Convention next summer. Private event venues, including wedding barns, would be required to get a new type of license to serve liquor, limiting wedding venue owners to rent or lease the property on no more than six days per year and one day per month.
