"Trial Evidence Reveals Trump's Signature on Document Confirming Real Size of NY Penthouse"

Evidence presented in Donald Trump's civil business fraud trial shows that he signed a document 30 years ago accurately stating the size of his New York penthouse, which was later listed as significantly larger on his financial statements. The document, a 1994 attachment, indicated that the Trump Tower triplex was 10,996 square feet, not the 30,000 square feet claimed on financial statements provided to banks and insurers. Allen Weisselberg, the former finance chief of Trump's company, testified that he didn't pay much attention to the apartment's size as it was insignificant compared to Trump's overall wealth. Weisselberg also stated that he couldn't recall discussing the financial statements with Trump. The trial, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, alleges fraud and seeks $250 million in penalties and a ban on Trump doing business in New York.
