Tragic Water Incidents Claim Lives in Winnetka and Millerton Lake

A man has died after jumping into Lake Michigan near Centennial Park Beach to rescue a child who had fallen off a tube being pulled by a boat. The man went under the water for about a minute before being pulled onto the boat by others. CPR was performed on him and he was taken to a hospital in serious condition, but he later died. The cause of the incident is unknown.
