Tragic Drowning at Lake of the Ozarks Under Investigation

A 78-year-old woman from Sunrise Beach, Missouri, died after experiencing an unknown medical event while lowering a boat into the Lake of the Ozarks. The incident occurred when the woman was pulling the trailer out of the water, causing the Jeep she was in to go back into the lake. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, which marks their 32nd fatal crash of 2023.
