Multiple Fatalities and Arrests in Clay County Crashes

Two people were killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash in Clay County, Nebraska. The crash occurred when a semi failed to slow down for stopped traffic and entered the eastbound lanes, colliding with an eastbound Buick Enclave. The driver of the Buick and one child were pronounced dead at the scene, while two other children were transported to Children's Hospital in Omaha with serious injuries. The driver of the semi, who had an active arrest warrant, was arrested and no charges have been filed in connection to the crash. The Nebraska State Patrol is conducting a full crash reconstruction.
