Hot Air Balloon Crash in Southeast Rochester Leaves Three Survivors

A hot air balloon attempting to land in a field in southeast Rochester, Minnesota, was pushed into a power line by a gust of wind, causing the basket to disconnect and fall 20 to 30 feet to the ground with three people inside, two of whom suffered minor injuries. A small brush fire broke out next to the basket but was quickly extinguished by the fire department. The balloon was located a couple of miles away, and both the FAA and NTSB are investigating the incident.
