Fatal Turnpike Crash in Lake County Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Injured

Two people were killed and one person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Florida Turnpike in Lake County. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near mile marker 280 in Clermont when a Chevrolet Silverado ran off the roadway and crashed into a concrete storm drain box, causing the vehicle to rollover. The driver and a rear passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, while the right front passenger was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
