Libby Dodes, a 23-year-old student from Derby, was given hours to live after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive ovarian cancer. Initially mistaking her symptoms for endometriosis, a 23cm tumour was discovered in her abdomen. After undergoing chemo and a radical surgery, she now requires super-strength chemo to continue treatment. Her family is fundraising for immunotherapy treatment, as the Nottingham trust is refusing to fund it. Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed late due to its location and vague symptoms, leading to a lower survival rate.
