"Rising Rabid Raccoon Cases Alarm Boston Residents"

Boston Animal Care and Control has reported five cases of rabid raccoons in the city, with the most recent one found in Mission Hill. There have been no reports of human exposure or injuries, but residents are urged to stay away from wild animals, report any strange behavior, and ensure their pets' rabies shots are up to date. Free rabies-vaccination clinics for dogs and cats will be held in Jamaica Plain and Mission Hill in September.
