"French Thief Caught in Phone-Drop Fiasco"

A suspected thief in a Paris suburb was caught after dropping his phone during a burglary and then calling it in an attempt to retrieve it. The intruder fled after being surprised by the resident, taking a laptop but losing his phone in the process. He later called his own number to offer the return of the laptop in exchange for the phone, leading to his arrest by waiting officers.
