"Captivating Wildlife Images Compete for People's Choice in Prestigious Photography Contest"

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year's People's Choice Award is open for public voting, with 25 outstanding images shortlisted from nearly 50,000 entries. The selection includes a variety of captivating wildlife photographs, such as a polar bear sleeping on an iceberg, a pair of hares seemingly kissing, and an Adélie penguin approaching an emperor penguin and its chick. Some images also highlight the negative impact of human activity on the environment, including a young fox dining on trash and a male elephant walking through a heap of rubbish. Voting is open until January 31, and the winner and top four images will be announced in February.
