WWE pre-taped the December 22 episode of "SmackDown" to allow superstars more time with their families during the holidays. Spoilers include Santos Escobar defeating Bobby Lashley in the United States Championship Tournament, Dragon Lee retaining the NXT North American Championship against Butch, and Bianca Belair's team winning the Holiday Havoc tag team match. Kevin Owens also advanced in the tournament by defeating Carmelo Hayes, and a brawl ensued involving AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, and others.
