"Intersex Beauty Queen's Story Shocks Audience"

Sharon-Rose Khumalo, a former beauty queen from South Africa, has gone public with her intersex condition, and appears in a documentary called Who I Am Not, which is screening at the London LGBTQIA+ film festival. Khumalo has androgen insensitivity syndrome, which means her body has XY chromosomes but is unable to respond to male sex hormones, so her genitals developed as female. She is now a brand manager for a pharmaceutical company and an interiors influencer, and is content with the life she has made for herself, despite not being able to have biological children.
