Elderly woman dies after being hit by Duchess of Edinburgh's royal escort.

Helen Holland, an 81-year-old great-grandmother from England, has died from injuries sustained after being hit by a police motorcycle escorting Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh earlier this month. The incident is being reviewed by The Independent Office for Police Conduct, and the family has been in regular contact with the agency throughout the investigation. The Met Police’s Special Escort Group, who was involved in the crash, provides armed escorts for Royal Family members, VIPs, protected members of the Government, as well as other world leaders and dignitaries.
