Strokes bassist and realtor feud over Manhattan garden

Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture and a real estate executive, Toby Dodd, are embroiled in a legal battle over a private garden in Soho. Dodd and his wife purchased the garden and a small ground-floor room in 2017, while Fraiture and his wife bought a ground-floor unit and the basement in 2019. Fraiture claims the units purchased by the Dodds had been illegally combined, and prevented them from doing desired renovations. The Dodds claim that Fraiture is "fixated" on the garden and has made life in the building hell in his quest to obtain it. A Manhattan judge has granted the Dodds' request to prevent the Fraitures from booting them from 44 King until a court appearance next month.
