Actress Susan Sarandon was among eight protestors arrested during a rally in Albany, New York, calling for higher wages for restaurant workers. The group, which included waitresses and their families, campaigned for legislators to set a true minimum wage for tipped restaurant workers in the state. Sarandon and her fellow protestors were calling for an end to subminimum wages for tipped workers, which currently stands at 66% of the overall minimum wage in New York.
