Seely's Titles Deprivation 1917 Amendment Bill would adapt laws from World War I to deny the couple their titles, following allegations made in author Omid Scobie's book. The bill aims to address the use of race to smear the Royal Family, which Seely calls "poisonously insidious." The couple had already given up their official royal duties and the use of His and Her Royal Highness in a 2020 agreement.
