"Good Time Star Buddy Duress Dies at 38"

Buddy Duress, known for his roles in Safdie Brothers films including "Good Time," died last November at the age of 38 from cardiac arrest caused by a drug cocktail, as revealed by his brother. Despite his talent, Duress had a troubled history with the law, including multiple arrests. Director Jay Karales remembered Duress as an "absolute treasure" and praised his authenticity and charisma on screen. Duress is survived by his brother and mother.
