Legendary Drummer and 'Layla' Co-Writer Jim Gordon Passes Away at 77.

Jim Gordon, a renowned drummer who played for Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and many others, has died at the age of 77. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia after murdering his mother in 1983 and spent the rest of his life battling mental illness. Gordon was a member of Derek and the Dominos and co-wrote the classic hit "Layla." He played on hundreds of songs as part of the Wrecking Crew and was one of the greatest rock drummers of his era.
