Canadian Folk Legend Gordon Lightfoot Passes Away at 84

Canadian folk music legend Gordon Lightfoot, known for hits such as "If You Could Read My Mind" and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," has died at the age of 84. Lightfoot rose to prominence in the mid-1960s and achieved major pop success in the US during the 1970s. He remained a revered figure in folk circles and continued to tour into his 80s despite facing numerous health problems. Lightfoot is survived by his third wife and six children.
