Universal Pictures is developing a new "Jurassic World" movie with David Koepp, the writer of the original "Jurassic Park" and its 1997 sequel, on board to write the script. The project is in advanced stages with a potential 2025 release date and is expected to launch a "new Jurassic era" with an all-new storyline, likely excluding the return of previous characters. While no director is attached yet, veteran producer Frank Marshall is set to produce, and the franchise's creator, Steven Spielberg, will executive produce.
