Samantha had sought $75,000 in damages and claimed that Meghan contributed false information to the book and made defamatory statements in the interview. The judge dismissed Samantha's claims related to "Finding Freedom" but allowed her one final opportunity to replead her claims related to the CBS interview and her claim for injurious falsehood.
