Madonna's Summer Health Scare: Induced Coma and Life-Saving Friend

Madonna revealed during a concert in Brooklyn that she was put into an induced coma in June after passing out on her bathroom floor. She thanked a friend who "saved" her life and expressed gratitude to her Kabbalah teacher for being by her side. Madonna also mentioned that she woke up to see her six children around her and joked that she "almost had to die" to have them all gathered in one room. The pop icon had been hospitalized due to a serious bacterial infection but has since recovered and resumed her "Celebration" world tour.
