Christine McVie's Cause of Death: Stroke and Metastasized Cancer

Christine McVie, the British vocalist and keyboardist best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac, died of an ischemic stroke in November at the age of 79. Her death certificate also listed a secondary cause of "metastatic malignancy of unknown primary origin." McVie had previously described her health as "quite bad," citing a chronic back problem. Following her death, her former bandmates paid tribute to her, with Stevie Nicks sharing lyrics to Haim's "Hallelujah" in a handwritten letter mourning her "best friend in the whole world."
