R Kelly Sentenced to North Carolina Federal Prison.

R&B artist R. Kelly has been moved from the correctional center in Chicago to the Federal Correctional Institute in Butner, N.C. to serve out his 30-year-long prison sentence for child sex crimes and other offenses including racketeering and sex trafficking. Butner has a reputation for being a sought-after facility for clients facing federal sentences due to its federal medical center and low level of violence. Kelly is serving among a total of 771 inmates at Butner and plans to appeal his conviction.
