R. Kelly, the convicted felon and R&B singer, is being held at the Federal Correctional Institution Butner Medium I in Granville County, North Carolina, according to the institution's website. He was transferred from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago on April 19, 2022. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison in New York on June 29, 2022, after being found guilty of sex trafficking and violating the Mann Act. His release date is currently unknown.
