Archewell Foundation Faces Massive Drop in Donations, Losing £8.7m

Donations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation have dropped by £8.7 million ($11 million) in the past year, causing the charity to record a loss. The foundation's annual report revealed that donations in 2022 were just over £1.6 million ($2 million), down from £10.3 million ($12.9 million) in 2021. The loss of £536,357 ($674,485) was attributed to a lack of revenue, despite the foundation still holding around £6.6 million ($8.3 million) in cash and assets. The couple released a promotional video showcasing their foundation's work, which includes mental health support, aid to military families, and assistance to girls in Nigeria. However, brand experts have warned of the potential decline of "Brand Sussex" following recent controversies and negative publicity.
