"Shakespeare's First Folio Soars to New Heights in Space and Film Celebrations"

A portrait of William Shakespeare and a copy of a speech from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" were sent to the edge of space as part of a short film series commemorating 400 years since the publication of Shakespeare's First Folio. The series, created by filmmaker Jack Jewers, explores contemporary themes using Shakespeare's speeches and poems. The films address topics such as space exploration, the impact of the COVID pandemic, and the war in Ukraine. The First Folio, considered one of the most important books in English literature, contains 36 of the 37 plays Shakespeare wrote and was published seven years after his death.
