Monet artwork vandalized by environment activists in Stockholm museum.

Two activists from the organization Aterstall Vatmarker (Restore Wetlands) smeared red paint and glued their hands to the protective glass of Claude Monet's painting "The Artist's Garden at Giverny" on display at Stockholm's National Museum. The painting is being inspected for damage. The police arrested two women, and the crime is classified as aggravated vandalism. The National Museum's acting director general condemned the attack on cultural heritage.
